Palm Sunday – April 9 The 9 a.m. worship service will include music by the Chancel Choir and the Kids Choir, as well as a parade around the sanctuary in remembrance of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
Maundy Thursday – April 13 Beginning at 6 p.m., the evening will take place in the Great Room. Following a soup supper, we’ll celebrate Communion and also experience ceremonial hand washing as a symbol of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet. Good Friday – April 14 In the sanctuary at 7:30 p.m., we will have a short worship service focused on Tenebrae (scripture reading while candles are extinguished), singing by the Chamber Choir, and sacred dance. Afterward is the traditional walk with the cross to Meetinghouse Hill. Everyone is invited to take a turn at carrying the cross. Dress warmly and bring a flashlight.
Holy Saturday – April 15 Anyone who would like to spend quiet time in the sanctuary may do so between 5 and 9 p.m.
Easter Day – April 16
6 a.m. Sunrise service at Meetinghouse Hill (across from the cemetery), followed by coffee and a potluck buffet in the Great Room. You are invited to bring a breakfast item for the buffet; please sign up in the Great Room or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
10 a.m. Easter worship service in the sanctuary with trumpets, singing by the Chancel Choir and Jubilee, sacred dance by children, and lots of fragrant lilies. NOTE 10 A.M. START TIME, AN HOUR LATER THAN OUR USUAL SUNDAY SERVICES.
