“Dress a Girl” Event

“Dress a Girl” Event A “Dress a Girl Around the World” (DAG) sewing event will take place at our church on Saturday, May 20, from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. (set-up at 10:30). If you plan to participate, please go to the Great Room to pre-register and pick up the list of supplies you are to bring. Pre-registration is encouraged to aid in preparations for the room and supplies; at events recently held in New England, the numbers of dressmakers has ranged from 10 to 40! Our guest is Jackie Dewey, regional DAG leader from southern Maine, whose presentation and demonstration will begin at 11 a.m. DAG has been asked to provide 600 school dresses for girls in Franklin County, Maine, to be delivered in August. Thank you for helping to fulfill this dire need! Questions? Contact Ruth Druckenmiller or Marion Smith, or find more information on the sign-up table.

The collection for “Dress a Girl Around the World” (DAG) continues throughout May. See the sign-up table in the Great Room for the list of requested items to drop in the bin under the table. Monetary donations are welcome, too.
