Join us for online worship

As you know, the COVID-19 virus crisis has escalated rapidly. In parallel, there have been multiple conversations at DCC about how we can best respond and serve. The Support Team has made several decisions about how we can be most deeply faithful in this time.

As a faith community and a public resource, it is imperative that we do what we can to slow and reduce the spread of COVID-19. With this in mind,  we have moved all of our services and meetings online.  We will reassess as needed and appropriate.

We are excited to be creating  worship together online (or by phone) via Zoom on Sunday mornings at 9 am, as usual. The service will also be posted for simple viewing on our YouTube page by later Sunday afternoon. Instructions for both of these methods is included below.

If you already make video calls (Skype, Facetime) or if you have a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, you have everything you need! Just click the link associated with the event you are attending and download the application Zoom if prompted to do so. If you don’t have a camera on your computer, you may be able to see but not be seen.

If you don’t have any of the devices above, you can join us by calling in with a phone and entering the meeting number. It will be like joining a conference call if that is a familiar experience.

After worship is over, a video recording of our time together will be available to watch if you were unable to join in. Find it by going to YouTube and searching for our church’s channel.

Sunday morning worship will start around 9:00, but you can log in to the meeting starting at 8:55 or so to work out any issues. If possible, have a candle nearby to light (battery or flame) during worship.

This is a new experience. No doubt there will be bumps along the way, and lots for us to learn. Thank you for your understanding as we find new ways to stay connected with each other and in God’s Spirit. Thank you for holding each other and all of DCC in your prayers!
