Christmas Kids Dance

Jacqui Dion is looking for children age 4 and up who would like to participate in a sacred dance at the 5 p.m. Christmas Eve service. There will be four practices; dates and times to be determined. Please contact Jacqui with any questions:

Christmas Wish Stars Program

Thank you to everyone who has picked up a paper star describing a gift that can be purchased for a child in town. Gifts are due Sunday, December 3, unwrapped and with the star attached (can be dropped off at the church or the library). CROP Walk 2017

On October 15, as one of five participating churches, DCC ‘s 19 walkers went the distance in the Greater Manchester/Londonderry NH CROP Hunger Walk. The walk raised $12,335 ($3,757.20 from DCC) and had a total of 54 walkers. Thank you to our enthusiastic walkers and generous donors in this expression of love in action. In addition, many thanks to Phyllis Langlois, DCC’s awesome CROP Walk leader.

Men’s Breakfast

Due to the Holiday Fair the men’s monthly breakfast on November 18 will be held at Bob Spindel’s home from 7 till 9 a.m.

Wreaths for Holiday Fair

If you would like to be one of Don Tordoff’s elves this year and help assemble wreaths and bows to be sold at DCC’s annual Holiday Fair on November 18, please contact Don at 463-7094. Elves will meet on November 2, 7, 10, 14, and 17 from 9 till noon in the Great Room. Help also will be needed at the sales table on the day of the fair.

Drop in the Bucket for Hurricane Relief

The Mission Vision Team is requesting items for Church World Service (CWS) hygiene kits to be sent to Puerto Rico. Please drop by the Great Room to find out how you can support this mission by donating combs, nail clippers, soap, toothbrushes, Band-Aids, towels, or wash cloths (all according to exact CWS specifications). On October 1, come hear Deerfield Community Church’s wonderful trio Grace Notes sing at the fair bandstand starting at 9 a.m. Grace Notes features Walt Kutylowski, Susan Fisher Fusco, and Kris Shores singing a wide range of Christian music, from hymns to folk to contemporary. Because of the fair, there will not be a worship service in our sanctuary on October 1. Instead, come worship through the music of Grace Notes!

CROP Walk: October 15

The Greater Manchester/Londonderry CROP Hunger Walk will step up to help fight hunger and poverty at home and worldwide on October 15. Join with our Deerfield Community Church team of walkers. In the 2016 walk, DCC folks raised an impressive amount, with part of the funds going to our own Deerfield Food Pantry. Fair Booth at Deerfield Fair

Our church’s food booth, a major fundraiser for out church’s fund for property upkeep, will be open at the fairgrounds during the Deerfield Fair (September 28 to October 1) and HamFest (October 13-14).
• Clean-Up Times. Work days will be Saturday, September 16, starting at 9 a.m., and Sunday, September 24, after church.
• Share Freezer Space. If you have extra room in your freezer, please let Faith know.

Horton Center Camping for Adults

In August, adults can enjoy our denomination’s beautiful camp in the White Mountains. “Passin’ Time on the Mountain” is August 8-12, and “Trails and Passages Women’s Weekend” is August 11-14.
